Nuggets from Seeking and Finding God—Spirit Communication and Drugs | thebereancall.org

Nor could the existence of the human mind ever be explained by evolution. Far from something physical evolving into a nonphysical entity, intelligent life can only be nonphysical, for that is the nature of intelligence. In contrast to the brain (which is a physical organ), the mind, which uses the brain like a computer, is nonphysical. Human intelligence can only be explained as a creation of God in His moral and spiritual image and thus with similar capabilities of thought and choice and love, but on a finite human level. We are not physically in God’s image, because God, as Jesus said, “is a Spirit” (John:4:24). Rather, we are spirit, soul, and mind in His image.

The fact that nonphysical and nonhuman intelligences exist and are communicating with mankind has been the conviction and experience of primitive peoples since the beginning of time—and now science agrees. Through the use of the “sacred mushroom” or peyote or other psychoactive plants, indigenous peoples have always made contact with spirit beings as part of their religious rituals. The use of psychedelic drugs within the last fifty years sparked a revival of paganism in the Western world. Through drugs, multitudes of Westerners were initiated into another dimension inhabited by spirit entities and to the occult and Eastern philosophy that these beings consistently teach.

The phenomenon known as “channeling,” whereby nonmaterial intelligences speak through human instruments, has been verified to be genuine (though there are phonies involved as well). One verification is in the fact that the messages that come independently through thousands of different channelers around the world (there are more than 1,000 in Los Angeles alone), in spite of having no contact and no exchange of notes with one another, have an undeniable agreement that can only be explained as coming from a common nonhuman source.
