PARENTS LOSE 'YOGA' CASE IN CALIFORNIA

The 4^th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that yoga being taught in California schools is not a gateway to Hinduism, disappointing many parents. 

Stephen and Jennifer Sedlock took the Encinitas Union School District to court claiming yoga promoted Hinduism while inhibiting Christianity.

Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute says the court's decision just pretends this was nothing more than an exercise routine.

"We know it's quite the contrary," says Dacus, citing the meditation involved and the group sponsoring the program, which he describes as an Eastern religious group.  

Dacus contends the school could achieve the same results in other ways, such as using other exercise routines or using an outside group without a "religious motivation and agenda."

Fox News reports it's not just in the Encinitas schools. Parents should be aware that yoga is being taught in schools across the country.
