Nuggets from "Whatever Happened to Heaven?" by Dave Hunt

Scripture testifies that God's love for all men is infinite and that He "desires all men to be saved." Christ came not "to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved" (John:3:17). God's purpose and desire could not be stated more clearly. Yet in spite of such Scriptures and His command to us to love our enemies and to be Good Samaritans to all who need our help, God himself, according to Calvinism, has chosen not to save billions from hell even though, through extending His irrisistible grace, He could do so. That is both a libel on God's character and such a contradiction of Scripture that it must be rejected vehemently.

Reconstructionism assures us, however, that things are going to get better and that they will be able gradually to take over the world. It is necessary to pervert their own doctrine of Calvinism in order to make such a statement in face of the many Scriptures that foretell a worsening of conditions in the last days, including apostasy, an increase in wickedness, and the rise of the Antichirist and Armageddon.
