Keeping the Temporal Cart Behind the Spiritual Horse

In a world beset by what sin has wrought, there seems to be an endless list of problems crying out to be solved. As believers tackle some of them, their efforts often provide opportunities to share God’s Solution for every person’s most critical problem: his or her eternal destiny. “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world [by solving all his temporal problems], and lose his own soul?” (Mt 16:26).

When we are rolling up our sleeves for the needs of our fellow man, we dare not miss the welfare of his soul. The order of Ephesians:2:8-10 [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
See All... is God’s order: “...saved through faith...not of works...[then] created in Christ Jesus unto good works.”
